As part of the "Istanbul Behavioral Addiction Provincial Action Plan," the Ministry of Health's Avcılar District Health Directorate provided an educational session on addiction to our university students.

On May 27, 2025, a seminar titled "Positive Parenting Attitudes and Creative Drama Education" was held at the Esenyurt Public Education Center Additional Building, as part of the Esenyurt District Governorship Ministry of National Education's Public Education Center Training Programs. The seminar was conducted by Dr. Nurten ELKİN, Head of the Department of Child Development at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Faculty of Health Sciences and Coordinator of the IGU Addiction Prevention Coordination Unit, along with Lecturer Buse BULAT from the same department.

A seminar titled “Adolescent Development and Risky Behaviors” was held on May 27, 2025, at the Esenyurt Public Education Center Annex Building as part of the training programs organized by the Esenyurt District Directorate of National Education and the Esenyurt Public Education Center. The seminar was conducted by Assist. Prof. Nurten ELKİN, Head of the Child Development Department at Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Faculty of Health Sciences and IGU Anti-Addiction Coordinator, along with Research Assistant Hatice Zelal BİNGÖL, a faculty member from the same department.

A seminar titled "Cases of Online Gambling and Screen Addiction" was held in collaboration with Istanbul Gelisim University (IGU) Addiction Prevention Coordination Unit and the Department of Child Development. The event featured speakers from the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) Directorate of Addiction Prevention and Rehabilitation, Social Cohesion and Support Center (SUDEM).

The "Family Year Awareness Event" seminar was organized by the IGU Addiction Struggle Coordination, the SBF Department of Child Development, and the SBF Department of Social Work. The seminar, titled "Family Year Awareness Event," was held on April 9, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mehmet Akif Ersoy Meeting Hall, through the collaboration of the IGU Addiction Struggle Coordination, the SBF Department of Child Development, and the SBF Department of Social Work.

The second session of the Sustainable Healthy Life Workshops, planned for the Spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year in collaboration with Istanbul Gelişim University (IGU) Addiction Prevention Coordination and IGU Student Dean’s Office, has been successfully conducted.

The seminar was conducted by Asst. Prof. Nurten ELKİN, Head of the Department of Child Development at Istanbul Gelişim University Faculty of Health Sciences and Coordinator of the IGU Addiction Prevention Coordination, along with Res. Asst. Kevser Tuğba ÇINAR KARASU, a faculty member of the Child Development Department.

A seminar titled "Family Communication" was held on March 6, 2025, at Esenyurt Public Education Center Annex as part of the Esenyurt District Governorship Ministry of National Education (MEB) Public Education Center Training Program. The seminar was conducted by Asst. Prof. Nurten ELKİN, Chair of the Department of Child Development at Istanbul Gelişim University Faculty of Health Sciences and Coordinator of the IGU Addiction Prevention Coordination, along with Lec. Bedriye ÇELİK KANCA, a faculty member of the Child Development Department.

On February 18, 2025, between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM, a seminar titled "Healthy Living and Protection from Addictions" was held at the Esenyurt Public Education Center, Additional Building, as part of the MEB Esenyurt Public Education Center Training Program. The seminar was led by Assist. Prof. Nurten ELKİN, Head of the Department of Child Development at the Faculty of Health Sciences of Istanbul Gelişim University and IGU Addiction Struggle Coordinator, and Research Assistant Rabia Ceren ATEŞ, a faculty member from the Department of Child Development.
